My dog Pretzel is demonstrating full mobility while wearing his carpus brace. He is running and leaping while playing with a soccer ball. The brace has helped him far more than I had dared hope.
The quality is kind of bad, but I shot this during actual Trick-or-treating instead of during the daylight practice runs. Pretzel the wonder dog is handing out bags of chips to trick-or-treaters. In consideration of his bum leg, I used very lightweight treats and canvas saddle bags. The heaviest part of the rig is the dog harness that the bags are clipped to.
Pretzel the border collie mix has a deformed front leg due to a growth plate injury. He has had his OrthoPets brace for a couple of months and is very comfortable running and jumping with it on. He can play for 1-2 hours, until he is tired. He was pretty wild at first, but the novelty of pain-free play has worn off and he is a little more controlled although still joyful.
Pretzel has had his OrthoPets carpus brace for 10 days and can now run and play better than he has in 3 years. He had played for 30 minutes and was starting to get tired in this video.
Border Collie mix Pretzel has had his OrthoPets carpus brace for less than a week, but has adjusted to it quickly. He is able to run and play without pain.
Pretzel the border collie mix learning to use his front-end wheel chair at the dog park. He was focused on playing with the other dogs and greeting the people so this lesson went really well.
